Boxing Day Handicaps

There were wins for Josh McDonagh and Gary Randle on a crisp, bright Boxing Day morning in Trent Park.

Juniors (1 mile)

There were just three entries for our junior race but all ran impressively. Callum set a blistering time of 4:42 for the mile up and down the boulevard.

Seniors (6 kilometres)

Gary Randle's strategy of saving his mince pies until Boxing Day paid off as he outwitted the handicapper Steve Nunn and stormed to a 23 second victory over Charlie White and a fast finishing Monty Wyeth.

The fastest laps - from Jonney Yeates (22:06) and Kath Henderson (27:27) - were roundly cheered by 2 generations of their family who were rewarded for braving the cold with a couple of medals and a go on the swings.
